What is EPS?
Expanded Polystyrene, or EPS for short, is an economical, versatile, lightweight, rigid, plastic foam insulation material produced from solid beads of polystyrene. The end product is made up of fine spherical cells that comprise 98% air.
EPS has a very high strength to weight ratio that, dependant on the density, offers exceptional compressive and flexural strength and dimensional stability characteristics.
EPS can be moulded or shaped to meet almost any requirement.
EPS panels can be installed to the following various substrates: Timber Stud, Steel Stud, Concrete & Masonry.
Please refer to our Technical Manual for installation guidelines.
Why is External Wall Cladding popular?
Part of the popularity of our Expanded Polystyrene cladding is because of it's incredible versatility as an external wall cladding application. Made using spherical polystyrene beads, it's a cost-effective external wall cladding product that can simply be moulded to any shape. Providing quality thermal efficiency, it's the ideal way to insulate buildings and homes of any size. Keep reading

Polystyrene sheet size properties
Nutex offers a range of Grades and varying Thickness of panels.
Our standards sheet dimensions are 2400mm x 1200mm (Non-standard sized sheet are also available on request).

Thermal properties
The 75mm EPS panel is on average three times more thermally efficient than that of standard brick veneer construction.
